Cole Porter
Cole Porter (1891-1964) has been celebrated around the world as one of the great masters of music and lyrics for stage and screen. His songs have been recorded by the most famous singers of the past seventy years. His rare talent for writing both exquisite lyrics and sublime music together have kept him perpetually at the top of the charts. In an ASCAP list of the thirty most popular songs of all time, five were by Cole Porter.
